MCM – Machine Capacity Management

MCM is a graphical capacity planning tool to coordinate, plan production, and provide tailored suggestions to customers. It handles the management and timing of the production processes by verifying: Machinery capacity, Materials availability, both in the warehouse and to the suppliers, Additional resources, and Prefixed deadlines.

MCM helps to analyze bottlenecks, and its strength is the definition of a complete insight into all departments and a complete integration with Datatex NOW ERP. In MCM, all production requests are prioritized and placed on the Gantt, using either a finite capacity evaluation or an infinite capacity evaluation. Using finite capacity planning, the system loads capacity based on a first-come, first-served approach and calculates the delivery date. Infinite capacity planning loads capacity based on the requested delivery date and highlights the over-capacity bottlenecks, and the planner determines the priority and delivery dates.
